Overview

EuroParts Lanka needed a platform that could handle part enquiries across 11 European car brands, let customers find the right part even when they did not know the part name, build a community around European car ownership in Sri Lanka, and show live pricing in LKR with accurate exchange rate conversion.

The Problem

European car owners in Sri Lanka have always struggled to find genuine OEM parts. The market was dominated by unreliable resellers, counterfeit parts, and no easy way to identify the correct part for a specific vehicle. Customers frequently ordered the wrong part because they could not describe what they needed in technical terms.

The Solution

I built the platform from scratch in Next.js with Supabase as the backend. The most interesting part was the AI Part Finder. Customers select their car brand and model, describe the problem in plain language, and the system identifies the exact OEM part number, compatible models, and estimated pricing. This eliminated the most common friction in the buying process. Other key elements include a full order system, live exchange rate data from the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, a community forum for European car owners, and a blog with SEO-optimised articles for each car model.
