Overview

After the 2022 economic crisis in Sri Lanka, I had spent two years watching people lose savings they could not afford to lose. The education infrastructure for Bitcoin was almost nonexistent. There were no resources in Sinhala explaining Bitcoin properly.

The Problem

The English resources that existed were written for Western audiences with different economic contexts. Sri Lankans needed education about sound money in their own language, written by someone who understood the local financial system and why it had failed them.

The Solution

I built uvin.lk to give Sri Lankans free access to honest Bitcoin education. No financial advice. No price predictions. Just the fundamentals explained clearly. The platform now has 55 structured learning modules, 275 individual lessons, a store with merchandise priced in USDT, crypto payment integration via CeyPay accepting 50+ cryptocurrencies, a donation system, and a weekly newsletter with 1,000+ subscribers across 5 countries.
